COVID Delay Requested in NY Also

The parties today asked Judge Liman for a 4-month delay in the New York litigation do to difficulties caused by the California and New York responses to the COVID-19 coronavirus. You can read the request here:

The parties say that "due to the restrictions on movement that have been instituted to address the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become clear that the parties will not be able to go forward with depositions at this time. We note that the parties, counsel, and many of the deposition witnesses are located in New York City and the Los Angeles metropolitan area, which have in place restrictive social distancing measures..."

So that's a four-month delay, with trial moved to about a year from now -- early 2021.

The Wheels of Justice turn slower and slower, but they grind just as before: exceedingly fine.
