ChromaDex share price reached about $3.67 on January 6, moments before the news of the Elysium lawsuit was announced in an SEC filing.
Then share price dropped rapidly, stabilizing at around $2.80 in mid-February.
Between mid-February and mid-April, short interest rose from about 1.2M shares to 1.8M shares -- a 50% increase. This correlated with a decline in share price from about $2.80 to about $2.30, roughly 18% decrease.
TL;DR: It appears that litigation drove share prices down in January, but since mid-February the shorts have been responsible for the additional price drops.
